The Somerset East Airfield Fencing & Operationalization Project, a partnership between the Cacadu Development Agency, Blue Crane Route Municipality and COGTA is underway. The 1st tranche of fencing materials was delivered on 15 May 2020. Today, 14 July 2020 the last tranche which is fencing is being delivered. The CWP workers will be on site soon to erect the fence. After completion of fencing, the Civil Aviation Authority, will undertake inspection and thereafter give the CDA the green light for operations to commence.
