Role Overview

The Business Development Officer will work with the CEO and Project Managers in developing the CDA Business Development Strategy. The Business Development Officer will be responsible inevaluation and developing commercial due diligence and project specific bankable business plans suited for specific investors.

Key Performance Areas: •Conduct project’s commercial due diligence •Business plan development •Investment strategy development.

Key Competencies: •Strategic skills •Project management skills •Computer literacy •Business intelligent knowledge •Financial skills •Negotiating skills •Presentation skills.

Requirements: •An undergraduate degree in Economics and Business Studies •At least three to five years’ working experience in the same or similar role •Ability to work independently and under pressure •Selfmotivated with sense of urgency •High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness •A valid unendorsed driver’s licence.

Role Overview

The Finance Officer handles financial issues and decisions. Oversees accounting departments, review reports and creates budgets. Supervises spending, which can include investments and cash management and is responsible for preparing financial statements while maintaining compliance with Government regulations. Manage internal audit and report findings as well as make recommendations based on that audit.

Key Performance Areas: •Coordinate financial record-keeping and oversee the development of yearly budgets •Provide financial guidance and management expertise related to company operations and financial strategy •Supervise investment strategies, direct financial resources and manage company assets •Ensure that accounting, budget and audit controls and systems are in compliance with AGSA.

Key Competencies: •Strong accounting, analytical, problem solving and computer skills •Prepare financial statements.

Requirements: •A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration as a minimum qualification •Knowledge of applicable Government legislation, standards, policies and procedures •Budget preparation and fiscal management •Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills •Good command of the English language, both written and verbal •Self-motivated with sense of urgency •High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness •A valid driver’s licence.

Role Overview

To coordinate and control the administrative functionality and attend to the implementation of administrative procedures, applications and systems for the Cacadu Development Agency.

Key Performance Areas: •Provide effective and efficient office administration •Ensure compliance to all legislative and governance issues.

Key Competencies: •Planning and organising •Computer literacy •Report and minutes writing •Provide support to the Board and its Committees •Manage internal communication and liaise with external stakeholders.

Requirements: •A Diploma in Office Administration/Secretarial as a minimum qualification •Working knowledge of Pastel Accounting, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook Programmes •2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role •High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness •A valid unendorsed driver’s licence.


Terms of appointment: The above positions will be offered on a 3-year contract appointment with a commensurate remuneration package. The appointment may be renewed for a further term of office subject to set conditions, which includes performance.
